About Jayne:
Jayne is somewhat of a polymath, with a background in fashion, performance, music and film. Born in Wales, she grew up in Dallas, Texas, before returning home to embark on a Performing Arts degree. As a singer-songwriter in the nineties, she was signed to EMI in Los Angeles and toured extensively with her band, supporting Jesus Lizard, No Doubt and Hole. This interest in performance encompassed visuals, image making and naturally led to fashion. Jayne embarked on her second degree, this time in Fashion Design, and went on to win the Ecological Design Award at Graduate Fashion Week. Before launching her eponymous label with On|Off at London Fashion Week a decade ago, Jayne worked for Alexander McQueen mainline and Vivienne Westwood Gold Label. Whilst running her label and bringing up her twin daughters, Jayne also completed an MA in Film and a PGCE whilst working as a consultant for Givenchy. She continues to explore ways to fuse fashion, music, film and story-telling with academic research in her PhD studies.
