Yuhan Wang is the eponymous London-based womenswear brand established by Chinese designer Yuhan Wang in 2018. Heralded for its sensitive approach to the portrayal of feminine strength under the lens of romantic nostalgia, the brand has powerfully expanded upon the hyper-feminine offering presented via talent incubator Fashion East, to a burgeoning womenswear business, expertly serving a customer who prioritises whimsical elegance above all else. Wang graduated from Central Saint Martin's with a BA & MA in Womenswear and was awarded first runner-up of the L'Oreal Young Talent Award in 2016 for her BA collection. Soon after joining Marni's design team, Wang was scouted by Lulu Kennedy's Fashion East in 2018 and showcased her work for three seasons under the scheme, garnering worldwide attention from press & buyers alike. As of 2020, the designer has debuted her first solo show as part of London Fashion Week's AW20 season and was subsequently shortlisted for the 2020 LVMH prize.  Since the brand's inception, Yuhan Wang has presented collections that root themselves in a poetic philosophy of championing understated beauty and subversively de-constructing the traditional notions of female fragility and sensitivity. Consisting of an elegant curation of apparel, accessories and jewellery, the brand offers pieces of uncompromising quality that eschew a conspicuous display of cultural symbolism for a more nuanced exploration into the flux between the idea of traditional Chinese femininity and its connections to Western culture Garments are skillfully draped and considered, with ruched silhouettes boasting fresh pastel palettes and saturated floral-prints. Lace and silks are experimented with in delicate abundance throughout Wang's offering, with proportion and layering proving to be the brand's signature design feature. Yuhan Wang has sold collections to international renowned luxury stores and boutiques including Dover Street Market New York, Los Angeles, Browns, Farfetch, Ssense, Beams Tokyo, H. Lorenzo Los Angeles, Joyce Hong Kong, Moda Operandi, UNIVERS d'homme et femme Philippines, to name a few.
